The void in my soul is full once again for a short time upon this new issue’s arrival. Luckily, the weren’t gone as long this time, and have returned with some happenings that are really heating up. Things are getting intense here in the land of Jon & Suzie, because now it isn’t just Jon & Suzie.
Last issue, we discovered that Ms. Kincaid, aka Ms. St. Cocaine, can also “do the thing”. When she has sex, crazy things happen to. Time stopping crazy things, as we know. We learned a bit about her life, and at the end of the issue, Jon & Suzie came up with a plan, and went to find her. Issue 10 brings us there somewhat awkward interactions. First of all, Ms. Kincaid seemed very surprised that they had come to her, with the same sexual situation. With all the research she’s done, you would think she would have thought about the possibilities of more people. They talk about Kegelface, and introduce their plan to her. But of course, not to us. We still don’t know this plan to take down Kegelface. The suspense is pretty agonizing.
Meanwhile, Jon starts going to the therapist he met in the food court. Things are going pretty well, the therapist seems damn good at his job, Jon seems like he’s doing somewhat better. The therapist asks him to do something, but it’s not revealed to us what it is. But it becomes clear what they’re talking about. The therapist wants Jon to tell Suzie that he loves her, because, well, he does. It didn’t occur to me that the two of them hadn’t yet said this. Everything that has happened in this series probably hasn’t happened over a very long period of time. The two have been through a whole lot together, and the way the act with each other, it was just kind of inferred that they were in love and each other new that. But now, Jon is facing this whole big deal I have to tell my girlfriend I love her sort of thing, and he seems like he’s freaking out a little bit about it.
He comes face to face with it while he is with Suzie & Ms. Kincaid, who are seemingly starting up this plan. The first step appears to be all orgasm at the same time, then we’ll be in The Quiet together. So, Ms. Kincaid masturbates in one hotel room, and Jon & Suzie get it on next door. They text communicate from the two rooms, telling each other when they’re getting close. Before the big moment, Jon is telling himself he’s got to tell Suzie. He, and the reader, get ready for a big moment here. But then, he chickens out, and just tells her that he likes when she cups his balls. But, that’s quickly looked over after what happens next.
The three all orgasm, we see the familiar colors of the Quiet, but then something unfamiliar. Ms. Kincaid floating, a gold silhouette of her body. “Wait, you guys aren’t weird sex ghosts too?” Clearly, Jon & Suzie are not exactly the same as her. They’re all their in the Quiet together, but Ms. Kincaid seems to be on some other level. Before we can get into that, though, the parade starts to get rained on. We flash over to Sex Police head quarters, where the three amigos are watching on a screen three circles all next to each other. Jon, Suzie, and Ms. Kincaid. The police are sure what they’re up to, hell the reader isn’t really sure what they’re up to, but the Sex Police are ready to fuck our friends up.
Exactly what is going on won’t be revealed until next issue. Or maybe not, who knows. Though it’s painful, I would gladly stay in suspense for another issue, this comic is just that damn good. Seriously, if you’re some how not reading it yet, you need to immediately. My soul pains for those who live without this series. And it will pain until the next issue is in my hands. For those of us who read the series, together we can make it until issue 11. Hold my hand.
